eCCLIX is the internet version of CCLIX and is used by Kentucky county clerk offices for archived public records. The Bourbon County Clerk page states that attorneys, title search personnel, surveyors, and realtors use CCLIX for public records, and that eCCLIX can help with title follow-up, estate settlements, and appraisals. Bourbon County DOC ALERT
DOC ALERT is a free property-fraud notification service advertised by the Bourbon County Clerk. The clerk's page says registration requires a name and email. After registration, the system sends an email alert when a mortgage or deed bearing the registered personal or business name is recorded. It is an alert system, not a title opinion, lien release, or fraud investigation.

DOC ALERT is useful for Bourbon County property owners because it watches for future deed and mortgage recordings in the registered name.
Bourbon County Marriage Clerk Records
Marriage licenses and local marriage records belong with the Bourbon County Clerk. State vital-record certificates for marriage records since June 1958 are issued by the Kentucky Office of Vital Statistics, but local license questions and county-issued certified marriage records should start with the County Clerk. The research did not confirm that marriage licenses are searchable in eCCLIX, so online land-record tools should not be described as a marriage-record database unless the portal confirms it.
Kentucky marriage law requires the clerk to apply statewide eligibility rules. KRS 402.210 bars issuance when either party is under 17 and requires a certified court order for a 17-year-old applicant. Local fee research found a gap because the inspected Bourbon County sources did not post a current marriage license amount.
Bourbon County Will Recordings
Probate proceedings are District Court matters through the Circuit Court Clerk, but will-related recorded documents can also appear in County Clerk records. The Bourbon County Clerk online records page says a Kentucky probate court certificate is required with an authenticated copy of the will and certificate of probate from the resident state to be recorded in the county clerk's office. It also describes recording an out-of-state will previously probated and recorded in another Kentucky county when certified records from the original county clerk are presented.
Renunciation is time-sensitive. The clerk page says a renunciation shall be made within six months after probate and recorded with the county clerk in the county where probate was made. The document is filed in the Will Book and indexed under the deceased name. Estate researchers may need both the District Court probate file and the County Clerk recording index.
Bourbon County Clerk Fees
The research found several known cost rules and several gaps. The eCCLIX private user option has no charge but is limited to five Bourbon County searches per day and personal use. eCCLIX commercial access uses a subscription, but the amount was not posted on the Bourbon County Clerk page.
